Cat Cafe Lolita Date

I had my first lolita date of the year a few days away and wanted to share some photos. It was my first time visiting a cat cafe! Our local community had a meet in one a few cities away, but I discovered there was one much closer to home and asked my friend if she wanted to meet there. We agreed on the date and time, then spent the afternoon hanging out and catching up

Here is my first coord of 2023, I wanted to wear something simple and super pink!
It's been while since I wore My Friend Usakumya Judy, so I chose that for this occasion,

KC: Bodyline

Cardigan: BTSSB

JSK: BTSSB

Bunny bracelet/Ring: Soft

Bear Ring: CC Cat

Socks: RojiRoji

Shoes: Bodyline

Once we arrived at the cafe, the staff greeted us, and informed us that this cafe acts as a large foster home for anywhere between 20 to 40 cats at a time!

In the 5 months that they've been open, they've had almost 200 adoptions! With equal amounts of kittens, adult and senior cats finding their forever homes.

After that, we signed a waiver and paid an entry fee of $12 (including tax) for an hour inside the cafe. I also decided to buy a cat treat, since I personally don't know how to get the attention of cats very well. Aside from taking care of a middle school friend's cat for a year when she moved to a new state, I've never had my own cat. I was a bit nervous!

The inside of the cafe was clean, and had so many places for the cats to sleep, play, eat and explore! I wish I had done a better job taking photos ٩(ˊ〇ˋ*)و the interior was super fun!

When we went inside, about 90% of the cats were napping, so I thought that maybe we chose a bad time but after a few minutes of moving around and fiddling with the toys, the cats were ready to play!

They really loved the fish treat I picked up! I was so happy to have so many cats snuggling up with me.
(even if they only wanted to eat hehe)

My friend A-chan had lots of chats chasing after her with this toy. She has cats back home in Japan, so naturally, she had no trouble calling them!

She wore a really cute coordinate as well, it's fun having a gothic friend, the contrast in our styles is really cool.

We actually ended up overstaying our hour at the cafe (oops) but the staff seemed really happy that the place was filling up so much that day and didn't mind letting us enjoy the cats for a bit longer.

They told us the names of the cats and even occasionally plopped one down next to us to help with socializing them! I had so much fun there and would love to come back with a book and spend a few hours relaxing.

In true lolita fashion, we couldn't end our lolita date without having a treat and some coffee! A-chan is ridiculously good at finding local cafes. I've lived in this city for years and didn't even know we had so many great spots!

She ordered an apple cinnamon scone and had a specialty drink called "The Florist". I believe it had espresso, lavender, and honey? I decided on a chocolate croissant and a drink called "The Beekeeper"! It was a tasty blend of cinnamon and espresso with local honey.

We talked casually about lolita life in the states compared to japan, our opinions on newer brand releases, and our thoughts on an upcoming meet! It'll be our first time seeing the community since October. Hopefully, I'll be able to blog about it as well.

That's all for today! Thank you for reading!
